Pothys Padi is one of the newest and biggest shopping showrooms in Chennai, located near Padi Flyover opposite Saravana Stores. Due to the summer holidays, the showroom is currently attracting huge crowds, especially during evenings and weekends.
I recently visited the store personally to check the shopping experience, parking facilities, crowd management, traffic situation, and kids entertainment area. My Experience Visiting Pothys Padi
I visited Pothys Padi recently during the summer holiday season and noticed that the showroom was getting a very good crowd, especially families with kids. Even though the showroom was crowded, the shopping experience felt comfortable because the building is spacious and fully air-conditioned.
The AC cooling inside the showroom was good even during peak crowd hours. Escalators and lifts are available, making it easier for families and elderly visitors to move between floors.
One thing I liked most was the parking management. Compared to many busy Chennai shopping areas, parking at Pothys Padi is handled well.

Billing speed was reasonably fast because multiple billing counters are available. However, after billing, collecting packed items from the collection counter felt slightly slow during rush hours.
Traffic Situation Near Pothys Padi
Traffic is one important thing visitors should consider before planning a trip to Pothys Padi.
Two nearby traffic signals usually create congestion:
- Signal near the showroom entrance
- Signal towards the Korattur side road
Traffic becomes heavier mainly between:
- 4 PM to 9 PM
If possible, avoid evening peak hours, especially on weekends.
Collections & Pricing
The clothing collections at Pothys Padi were good with sections for:

- Women
- Kids
- Family shopping
Compared to nearby Saravana Stores, prices felt slightly higher, but the product quality also appeared better in many sections.
